 In 1987 the San Luis Obispo County Child Abuse Prevention Council, a non-profit organization was founded by a group of concerned citizens and professionals.  By working together,  SLO-CAP brings in donations, writes grants and seeks partnerships with the community to develop, deliver and sustain a variety of education services designed to promote the prevention of child abuse and neglect.
