REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FISCAL 2022/2023: Burke County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (JCPC) & NC Dept. at-risk youth, aged 6 to 18 if under court supervision. The programs must have a SPEP type of service, an “evidence based” model or a service requested by the DACJJ. Programs should have an evaluation component that can demonstrate the impact on the risk factors below. Approximately $ 287,074 will be available [dependent on availability of funds] for July 1-June 30, fiscal year 2022/23. 30% local correspondence required. Priority risk and need factors consistent with legislative mandates: Age at first suspected delinquent offense in complaint Threat / assault / assault or destructive behavior Consumption youth or family known of alcohol or illegal drugs Serious behavioral problems in school Mental health needs Family / youth crime or conflict in the home. Funding priority will go to the following types of services: Sex Offender Treatment – Drug Treatment – Interpersonal Skills Development – Mediation – Youth Court – Group Home – Restitution / Community Service – Professional Skills Development – Family Skills Development of parents – Psychological assessments – Mentoring – Counseling – Reinforcement of experiential skills – Temporary foster family – Specialized foster family – Temporary shelter.
