Criminal damage: South Taylor Road

At 9:15 p.m. on September 25, police were called to the 2175 S. Taylor Road area on a report of a 41-year-old Bedford Heights man assaulted by several minors in a case involving damage to the car. of man.

When the police arrived, the young people ran, but the police were able to apprehend them. The detainees were boys aged 15, 14 and 9 and a girl aged 14. All were determined to have been involved in the altercation.

Police gathered information about the incident and handed over the minors to their parents pending possible charges in the juvenile court.

The victim had no injuries visible to officers.

Fraud: Baintree Street

At 5:15 p.m. on September 21, a University Heights woman, 51, reported that she had been the victim of rental property fraud that originated in Georgia. The woman paid a deposit and application fee totaling $ 1,650 to a party who did not own the rental property she was looking for. The police are investigating.

Flight: Warrensville Center Road

At 3:30 p.m. on September 22, Loss Prevention at Macy’s, 2201 Warrensville Center Road, reported that they had arrested a Cleveland woman, 29, who allegedly stole $ 669 in merchandise. Police cited the woman for theft and possession of criminal tools.

Traffic offense: Chemin Cedarbrook

At 7:55 p.m. on September 22, officers were investigating a disruption in the 3500 block of Cedarbrook Road when a vehicle pulled up with 13-month expired license plates. Police impounded the car and cited its driver, a 23-year-old University Heights man.

Domestic violence: Charney Road

At 12:25 a.m. on September 23, police were called to a house following a report of an active domestic violence incident. Officers investigated and arrested a University Heights man, 35, for domestic violence and unlawful duress.

Vehicle intrusion: boulevard Raymont

At 5:45 p.m. on September 24, a University Heights woman, 45, reported that someone had entered her parked car the night before.

Disorderly Driving: Traymore Road

At 11:35 p.m. on September 25, an officer on patrol saw a man urinating in bushes on Traymore Road near Warrensville Center Road. Police arrested the man, 19, of Latham, NY, on charges of disorderly conduct and bans on minors.

Aggravated threat: Cedar Road

At 1:25 a.m. on September 26, police were called to the Swensons Restaurant, 14510 Cedar Road, where it was reported that a man, who had a female passenger in his car, threatened to shoot the store and its Staff.

The man was unhappy with the restaurant service.

No weapons were observed. The man drove off in a Kia sedan before the police arrived. The police couldn’t find the Kia. The Detective Office is following up.
