GRADD provides funds for the prevention of child abuse and neglect


OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) – The Green River Area Development District (GRADD) Regional Community Collaborative Children’s (CCC) Network is seeking funding for child abuse and neglect prevention programs .

They offer mini-grants of up to $3,000 to projects aimed at preventing and raising awareness of child abuse and neglect.

Interested parties can apply for a mini-grant by contacting CCC Program Coordinator Melissa DeLeon at (270)-852-1354. The deadline for applications is October 7 at 3 p.m. Programs located in the following eligible counties are welcome to apply:

  • Davies
  • Hancock
  • Henderson
  • McLean
  • Ohio
  • union
  • Webster

Eligible projects must encompass one of these objectives:

  1. Focuses directly on the prevention of child abuse and neglect
  2. Raise awareness by educating the public about child abuse and neglect
  3. Focus on trying to help develop positive relationships between parents and their children
