Help raise awareness and fundraise during Child Abuse Prevention Month

Every month, you can purchase a Blue Heart online in honor of the children of our province and our country affected by child abuse.

These hearts are available online for $ 5 – and supporters can send a message of courage they want to share with affected children. These hearts will be displayed on the wall of the CACAC for children, youth and their families to see when they enter the center.

On October 24, Albertans are invited to #GoBlueAB wearing blue, all to raise awareness about the prevalence of child abuse in our communities and how we can take action to prevent it.

You are also encouraged to post about the initiative and then share and tag CACAC on social media @CentralABCAC and use the hashtag #GoBlueAB from October 18-22.

#GoBlueAB community initiatives:

Red Deer rebels: Join us at the games on October 22-23 and see the Peavey Mart Centrium #GoBlueAB. Heart-shaped stickers will be placed on every third seat in the lower bowl to represent the 1 in 3 Canadians who experience some form of child abuse.

Tiffany’s Steakhouse & Lounge: Enjoy the Epitaph Gin (Troubled Monk) “Braven Blue” cocktail at Tiffany’s!

Edible arrangements: Treat a loved one (or yourself!) To a blue edible arrangement! Head over to the edible arrangements for special blue treats! Including Braven Blue Coated Strawberries, Blue Swirling Brownies, and Swirling Blue Stripped Fruit Baskets!
