Housing issues remain in Torres case after plea change | Local News

SHERIDAN — After a plea hearing change earlier this week, housing issues remain in the case of Christian Torres as a court order remains in place requiring the young defendant to be housed in a juvenile rather than an adult facility and no juvenile facility in the state expressed a willingness to accept it.

The 16-year-old defendant pleaded guilty to the second-degree murder of his adoptive father, Edgar “Eddie” Jones, on Tuesday and is currently awaiting sentencing.
