The Arewa Foundation provides writing materials to 500 children



The Arewa Child Welfare Foundation donated 2,000 writing materials to 500 less privileged and orphaned children in two local government areas in Kaduna State.

Founder of the foundation Comrade Monday Macquega, as he reported the distribution program to Hayin Danmani in Igabi region, Kaduna state, said every child has the right to education.

Comrade Monday Macquega explained that the foundation plans to cover all the northern states to help the less privileged and orphans to achieve their school career.

He further explained that the foundation had also selected students from the Kurmin Mashi community of the Kaduna South local government to be among the beneficiaries.

In his speech, Kaduna State Education Commissioner Mallam Shehu Muhammad Makarfi praised the foundation for complementing government efforts to expand girls’ education.

According to him, the state government had made children’s education compulsory in all local government areas of the state.

In his speech, Hayin Danmani village chief Alhaji Abba Abdullahi thanked the foundation for choosing his community to report the distribution.

He also commended the Kaduna State government for building over sixty new classrooms in its area.

The village chief of Hayin Danmani Alhaji Abba Abdullahi also called on the government to build a secondary school in order to reduce the difficulties for students in the community to always go very far to attend secondary schools.
